Sigo con el tema porque puede que se haga realmente viral este token y el grupo TG sigue subiendo.
Aquí una explicación en inglés del funcionamiento, seguramente veremos muchas copias de esto en breve:
So - say we sell 500 tokens, so only 500 are left to buy. This pushes the price up, and that’s a good thing. BUT if no one buys our tokens, and there is still 1000 left for sale, it will only be worth the price it started at - $100. this is basic supply and demand. So given our token is an investment, how can we make sure the value goes up (increasing the market cap - the overall value of everything), but without just minting more tokens.
Now in the real world, a government will print more money (to grow the economy). this results in inflation - your money is worth less. If there are only 1000 in the world, and a BNB is worth $1000, and you make another 1000, then each BNB is now only worth $500. When this gets out of hand, a government might rebase the currency - that is - they declare that each BNB is now worth $10000 and not $1000, so the price of a BNB goes up, thus hopefully slowing inflation. Angola and Brazil both did this in the 90’s when inflation was at 2000%.
So GUH uses rebasing, but cleverly. Rather than saying “we have 1000 tokens worth 1/100 BNB each, no matter what a BNB is worth”, GUH says “1 token is worth $100 dollars, no matter what a BNB is worth”. and every 4 hours it recalculates the total amount of tokens (which are worth $10000 at start in our scenario) and either makes more, or removes some to make sure that 1 token is still worth $100, noting that BNB is in the middle of it. So if at start, 1 token = 1/100 BNB = $100, and then the price of BNB drops (so 1 token = 1/100 BNB = $50 dollars), they rebase, and HALVE the amount of tokens, so 1 token = 1/50 BNB = $100 (instead of being worth $50). And if the price of BNB goes up, they reduce the tokens, so it’s still worth only $100. At the same time, gradually they also say 1 token is now worth $200, and adjust accordingly. So that no matter what BNB does, a) the value of the token goes up against the USD AND b) everyone’s SHARE OF THE TOTAL pool of tokens stays the same - its not just printing more money.
So really what matters isn’t what 1 token is worth, but the amount of tokens as a % of the total that you own. The more you own, and the more you HODL, the more your holdings will increase in value over time, rewarding patience.
